Coquille Trail at Jean Lafitte National Park.

My school, T.H.Harris went on a field trip to Jean Lafitte National Park.
When we first got there, we went into the park's educational center. The park ranger, Ranger Ami was telling us about the animals, the surrounding and the fact that we were in the animals home. She also explained that we should treat the environment with respect and keep our voices down. After, she explained what the forest does for the city and animals, and what she does to preserve the wetlands. Ranger Ami told us about how she worked at the Statue of Liberty and there she explained to groups of people the history of the Statue, and how she preserve the animals around it. After she explained everything to us.

My group went on the Coquille Trail. The trail was long and very informational about the area that you were in. While walking on the trail we seen a few animals. We mostly seen the different kinds or trees. We did she some birds, but since it was winter, the animals didn't really like the cold so they were hiding. Also Ranger Ami kept reminding us to keep quit so the animals that were out, wouldn't go and hide. I thought the trail and the entire experience was very nice. And it's not everyday that you get to come close with some many different types of trees, birds, animals.Just being in the type of surrounding was very fun to be out in nature like that. I really enjoyed the trip. And I would go back again.
