We went to Jean Laffite National Park where we met Ranger Ami.She told us about the wetlands and what we could do to save the wetlands. We were the to help preserve the park. There were two diffrent groups and i was in the first group which went dip netting and my group caught baby fish, baby craw fish, baby shrimp, and snails. When our time was up some of the groups bought there creatures home in a plastic glove and others set them free.We went back to the place where we met.We cleaned our supplies and went on the Coquille Trail where we took many pictures of animals such as birds and bugs bugs. When we were done the trail we took some time to sit down and talk about the history of the park. Some of the history we talked about is who the park was named after, why it is here, what it does to help us,and what kind of lands there is at the park. Then when we had to leave we said bye and thank u to Ami the park ranger.
