Field Trip to Jean Lafitte

On the field trip to Jean Lafitte National Park it was so much fun. I was scared though because of all the animals in the park. They had different kinds of animals like alligators, spiders, a lot of birds, and different other kinds of animals. Educational Center Ranger Ami talked to us about the animals, and trees. She said that the trees that were broken down in the wetland were from the hurricane and the horrible storms we had. Mrs. Brewington took us on Coquille Trail, the trail was very long. On the trail we saw three different birds and we video taped it. One of the birds we saw was laying on the ground dead. When we went fish netting with Ranger Ami she told us we had to be quite in order to catch something out of the water. We had to us nets and gloves in the water, we had to move the net very slowly so we would not scare the animals away. My friend Brigette caught a baby shimp.
