Being at Jean Lafitte national park was a memorable experience.First we pulled in and my first thoughts were wow its a nice day outside.Then we meet ranger Ami she knows a lot about the wetlands and wildlife.She has a very loud voice.She told us they were trying to perserve the enviorment and animals so she told us not to squish bugs or anything.She also told us that the trees help against hurricanes so they are also important.Then we went fishing,sort of we caught 2 shrimp or shrimps.
After that we went on a walk on a trail we had to be quiet so we woudnt scare off wildlife.I had a good time with my friends Aaron and stephen and hope to come back for a visit one day. Tyler M , 2nd period
